David Beig, IIBA David Bieg, Chief Operating Officer - IIBA International

In February 2010, Dave Bieg became International Institute of Business Analysis’s Chief Operating Officer after having held the role as a volunteer since June 2006. IIBA, a professional association for Business Analysts, focuses on defining and enhancing the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) and implementing a certification program for qualified practitioners. With 28 years of experience in business and information technology, Dave has held many roles including, operating his own consulting and facilitation business where his team provided on learning, process and knowledge transfer strategies and solutions to achieve their client’s business objectives. Dave holds a MS in Business Administration and Information Systems Management from Johns Hopkins University and is active in the learning & consulting community including the greater Atlanta chapter of IIBA.

 

 

Matt Block, Owner - Development Block LLC

Through his experience as a developer, development manager, and product manager, Matt has learned what practices are critical to the success of Agile projects from both a technical and business perspective. Both a Certified ScrumMaster and a Certified Scrum Product Owner, Matt is passionate about agile software development and the improved partnership between business and technology that agile practices can create.

Diana and Stephen Burgan, Enterprise Consulting Diana and Stephen Burgan Enterprise Consulting

Diana and Stephen Burgan are principal owners of Enterprise Consulting. They provide consulting services and training courses on project management. In addition to their professional careers, Diana and Stephen are in the final phase of completing their doctorate degrees in Organizational Leadership. Diana’s research is on project leadership and emotional intelligence. Stephen’s research is on the adoption of project management practices within organizations. Diana and Stephen are both certified MSCEIT™ EI facilitators from Yale University.

Kate Gwynne is a certified business analyst, with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations successfully align and implement their business and IT initiatives. From 1990 – 2011, Kate successfully completed initiatives in the Insurance, Web Development, Retail, Utilities, Government, Financial, Telecommunications, Engineering, and Software Manufacturing industries. In her current role as Business Analysis Practice Lead for State Auto Insurance Companies, Kate is working towards the growth and development of the State Auto Analyst Community.

 

 

 

 

 

Aaron Kopel, Project Brilliant Aaron Kopel- President - Project Brilliant

Aaron Kopel is a Managing Partner at Project Brilliant. As a speaker, mentor, and consultant he is focused on enabling clients to seize opportunities through the use of Innovation Games, and the implementation of Agile Business principles and Lean-Startup methods across their organizations. Prior to joining Project Brilliant, Aaron led two tech-startup, winning several awards for innovation and entrepreneurship, and spent 10 years in IT and Business Consulting. His entrepreneurial background and wide range of consulting experience across large and mid-size organizations ranging from 50-85,000 people has given him a unique perspective on how organization innovate and adapt.  Mr. Kopel holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and a BA (double major-Business and Computer Information Systems) from Wartburg College. He is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional ScrumMaster (PSM), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). Scrum Certified professional (CSP), and an Innovation Games Trained Facilitator.

Kitty is a member of the IIBA Board of Directors and Chair of their Nominating Committee. She is a prominent keynote presenter at industry and corporate conferences, author, consultant, and workshop facilitator. She has over 25 years experience providing professional services to Federal agencies, the intelligence community, and various Fortune 500 companies. Her expertise includes IT strategic planning, implementing and managing PMOs and BACOEs, leading portfolio prioritization sessions, leading technology and software-intensive projects, executive and program team coaching, building and sustaining high-performing teams, managing large complex programs, and leading groundbreaking PM and BA assessments.

Kuper Kupersmith possesses over 14 years of experience in the business analysis profession. He has served as the lead Business Analyst and Project Manager on projects in the utility, television and sports management and marketing industries. Kupe is a requested speaker in the BA field.
